Bike Fit Services

Hi there!

My passion as a physical therapist is helping people MOVE WELL. If we move well, we optimize the human experience.

As a competitive cyclist, I spend several hours in a compromised forward flexed posture. I experienced several aches and pains on and off my bike. Add long hours of studying during PT school and all pains were exacerbated. I found the importance of off the bike mobility and strength just as important as the training you do on the bike.

As a physical therapist, I became certified in SFMA which assesses movement joint by joint but looks at the body as a whole. It helps identify movement dysfunctions associated with tight muscles, decrease joint mobility, decreased neuromuscular control/stability, or decrease strength.

When we move well, we perform in sports better, decrease chances of injury, and our strength potential is higher.

I love to help all people identify how they can better perform in their sport. I have a special interest in endurance athletes because of the repetitive nature of the sport. Repetitive movements with compromised mobility and strength is a recipe for injury or chronic pain. Endurance athletes offer a tricky challenge because of our skill at compensation in order to get through the long hours.

As an endurance athlete, I too, experience the challenges and effects of repetitive sport. My goal is to empower athletes at every level to move well, prevent injury, minimize imbalances, and ultimately perform better. Learning when suffering is necessary to win, but distinguishing that from pain. Pain is not necessary and it can only hinder our performance and put us a risk for overuse injuries.

Together, let us find the balance!
